Jayne Paine (AKA ‘Bunty’, AKA ‘Simon’s Byrd’) sends a report from the Westerley CC Wednesday night club ’10’ at Hillingdon (slightly edited to avoid accusations of libel, slander and bad taste). These are great events to start TT’ing. Jayne says:

Had to do a 7 mile TT to get there on time!

Tony Flynn – his first foray in 19 years – 26:30
Tim Burrows [preparing for Paris-Roubaix] – 29:46
Malcolm Woolsey (Westerley CC), all aero’d up to the max,
could only manage a rather patheticdid a very respectable 23:50.
It was a bit blowy.
A couple of recumbants – one looking like a yellow bullet thing went whizzing round. But both were victims of mechanicals, or maniacals.
