Final Call for the WCC Centenary Ride and Lunch – Sunday 12th July 2026

As part of our centenary celebrations, Gerry McManus has been working hard to organise a day of riding and socialising over lunch on Sunday 12th July 2026 at Hazlemere Golf Club, Hazlemere, High Wycombe, HP15 7LR.

For many of us, cycling with the Willesden CC has never been just about the miles or the competition – it has also been about the people we have met through cycling and the experiences we have shared as clubmates. Gerry’s event gives us an overdue opportunity to bring the Willesden Cycling Club together for what promises to be a fun day.

As well as the riding (and the eating!), we hope to rekindle old memories with a display of Willesden CC memorabilia. If you have any old photographs, newspaper cuttings, race programmes, club records, jerseys, trophies, or other Willesden paraphernalia, please do bring them along.

The day will begin with an easy morning ride. When the riders return there will be a lunch at Hazlemere Golf Club with the non-riders. As well as enjoying a great day together, we hope to raise money for Thames Hospice in Maidenhead.

I am delighted to say that there has already been a great deal of interest in this event. I very much hope you will be able to join us, whether for the ride, the lunch, or both. If you can make the whole day, even better.

Gerry will be finalising numbers in the next few days! So if you would like to attend (and have not already said so), please let him know as soon as possible, by emailing him at membership@willesdencyclingclub.org.uk

For more details on the day including routes and timetable, please see this page on the Willesden CC Blog or copy the following link into your browser.
