Thanks for a great race in conditions that went from ok to awful (I was in the 3/4). Everything was really well organised and I know I speak for a bunch of Zappi’s who were very grateful to be allowed late entries, etc. Hopefully we (well, them really) added to the race rather than swamping it.
I think the 8th rider in the 3/4 is my son Jacob Loftus (no 46 or 47?). He was pretty sure he got 7th or 8th after a late charge. He was wearing Zappi’s kit, on a Trek Madone (black, white and red), with Fulcrum Zero wheels, white overshoes, white Oakley’s and black helmet (if that helps).
Thanks again.
Mark
Hi Mark,
Looks like I had your son mixed up with Tom Kirk from Zappi’s who finished further down the field.
We will get this correct before it goes off to British Cycling.
Thanks for the feedback.
Sorry it had to be cut short.
Thanks to all the riders who thanked the soggy marshalls. Appreciated.
Hi Richard,
Many thanks for sorting my kit bag out and please forward my profound thanks to first-aiders marshals and others who helped me yesterday. I was concussed and remember nothing and am now home recovering.
Glad to hear from you, how are you?
Last I heard you had broken some bones and gone to John Radcliffe.
No broken bones. Head/face took the impact. I will be fine but I think that was my last race for this season!
Likewise – glad to hear you’re not badly damaged, Martin. Looked nasty from where I was (just behind) – spectacular fall! Very pleased you’ll be ok.
Simon
Glad to hear you are recovering Martin.
