Turning to time trialling Gill Reynolds continues to dominate the club results. This week she went to ride the C.C. Breckland 10 on Wednesday evening and took the 2nd fastest lady with a time of 25.37. On Saturday she rode in the Newbury Road Club 10 and finished in 25.25 in 3rd fastest lady position. Ron Purdy recorded 30.23 in this event. Sunday she again returned to Newbury to ride in the 25 mile event and finishing in 1.6.37 was awarded the prize for the overall winning lady in both events. Brian Moon also rode and recorded 1.9.38.
Ed Packard rode the Leo R.C. 30 mile on Saturday and finished in 15th place in 1.13.02, and a glutton for punishment , got up early again to ride the Godric 50 mile on Sunday recording 2.12.00.
We are cheesed off with the Daily Telegraph as they don’t include many cycling results. Even the Ladies Road Race Championship didn’t get a mention!
