Those of you who enjoy a nice ride in the Italian countryside might like to sign up for next year’s Mille Miglia. At 1400kms/1001 miles long the event is Europe’s longest Audax ride. In 2008 Peter Turnbull, Mark Brooking and Ray Kelly took part in the event.
Entries for the 2010 Mille Miglia are now open and numbers are restricted to the first 300 riders. The entry cost is €180 and covers “sleeping areas” and food. The availability of Malt Loaf in Italy has yet to be confirmed, however Willesden riders should fair well on the pasta front.
