Anne Mograby does an excellent job of organising the club’s Spring Audax rides. For many years these rides used to be organised by the much missed John Tipping, or Tippy as he was known to us.
This year Anne mustered an impressive number of riders for both the 100km “10 Thames Bridges” and the shorter 50km “Kaf2Kaf” rides. It was good to see a number of new riders having their first taste of these curiously addictive rides.
This year I rode the Kaf2Kaf for the first time. Even though I have ridden to Dinton on countless occasions since my very first Willesden club ride in late 1980s, the Kaf2Kaf still managed to take me along some lovely lanes that I never knew existed.
One of the highlights of the ride was the splendid display of “Guerrilla knitting” (or is it Extreme Knitting?) in the village of Hurst.
