Mixed bag again this week.
Whilst Richard Jerome was riding on the Eelmore circuit and taking 7th place on Wednesday evening some of the club members were enjoying a game of bicycle polo and a BBQ at the Westerley C.C. club room.
On Saturday Jayne and Richard were in action again. Jayne rode in the Women’s Crits at Hillingdon and secured 4th place. Richard finished in the bunch in the Terry Cronin Crits on the same circuit.
The time trialist were in action down at Aldermarston in the North Hampshire Road Club 10. Gill Reynolds again took fastest lady witha 25.54, Brian Moon recorded 27.38 and Ron Purdy 30.04.
Sunday morning on the Amersham Road in the West London Combine 50, which had to be shortened to 49.5 miles due to roadworks, Richard Jerome finished in the top five with a 2.10.09 equivalent to 2.11.36 for the 5o mile distant. Jason Maddocks made it to the turn in 1.25.42 but failed to finish.
The weather appears to be getting warmer so lets hope we can look forward to some faster times this week.
