Willesden CC Road Racing

The 2026 Willesden CC Road Race will be held at the Minet Park Cycle Circuit, Hillingdon, on Sunday 23 August 2026. This year’s event is being organised by Ian Why.

Willesden Cycling Club has a long and proud history of promoting road racing. Our principal event is the John Walker Trophy, an E/1/2 category road race. This race represents the pinnacle of our road racing calendar, with the winner receiving a prestigious and impressive trophy.

The race is named in honour of John Walker, a much-loved character within Willesden CC. John was renowned for his wit and storytelling, and for many years he served as Master of Ceremonies at the club’s annual dinner. Also an avid jazz fan, John famously badged his bike as a Stan Getz in tribute to the great American jazz saxophonist. He was also a highly creative individual, known for airbrushing intricate and often dark, satanic designs onto custom motorbikes.
