    Hi
    I used to know a guy called Johnny Walker way back in the late forties/early fifties a cyclist was in Harrow Road Club and would be around 82/3 if he were alive? Could the race have been named after him?

      Yes Neville. The Willesden hold two races each year. One in memory of John and the other in memory of his mum Dulcie. John used to organise the Lester Young memorial road race as he was a great jazz fan. I knew John but it was a long time ago when he died(I think he was in his fifties). The Willesden still holds club runs from Denham every Sunday if you want to join us.
