Ed Packard started the Easter weekend in fine form. He recorded a personal best of 23.49 in the High Wycombe 10 mile event at Maidenhead on Good Friday. Also riding were Richard Jerome 25.56, Suss Patel 26.23, Gill Reynolds 26.51, Ron Purdy 32.04 and Cathy Ostler, riding in her first time trial, 32.07.
There were prizes of Easter eggs for those whose number were drawn out at random from the start list. Ron Purdy took the 1st Easter egg prize and Gill as a change from being the fastest lady won the 2nd Easter egg.
On Saturday, Ed travelled down to Essex to ride in the E.C.C.A. 10 and recorded 24.36.
Sunday morning saw him on the Amersham Road to ride the West London Combine 25 mile event. He found the weather to his liking and again rode a personal best of 1.03.33 to take the club’s 1st handicap award. Richard Jerome finished in 1.09.30, Jayne Paine, enjoying her first event of the season, 1.10.38 and Chris James 1.13.40.

Meanwhile 22 members were riding in an Audax 300 Km which started in Ruislip at 6am, however the event does not finish untill 2am Sunday morning. So full results later
