Joining the Willesden Cycling Club

Willesden Cycling Club celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026 — and to mark this milestone, joining the club will be completely FREE.

That’s right:
NO joining fee
NO annual subscription

So you can spend more time doing what matters most — enjoying your cycling. Not only that, but you can be part our centenary celebrations.

You’ll be joining a friendly and sociable club with 100 years of experience and a proud heritage. Our history includes being one of the powerhouses of British cycling in the years after WWII. Club riders were part of the 1948 Olympic track squad, and one of our road riders was selected for the 1955 Tour de France.

Today, we are a more modest but very active club, focusing mainly on:

  • Audax rides
  • Time trials
  • Regular social rides

Our social rides are typically ridden at an average speed of 12–14 mph over distances of 40 miles or more. All rides include a midway café stop, and — most importantly — no one is ever left behind.

Each year we also organise several trips abroad. In early spring, we enjoy a week of cycling in Riccione, Italy, to catch some sun and build early-season miles.

In August, it’s traditional for the club to attend the Semaine Fédérale cycling festival in France — seven days of cycling and camping, fully immersed in French cycling culture.

If this sounds like the type of cycling you enjoy — or you’d simply like to know more — we’d love to hear from you.

As a first step, please send a short email to
membership@willesdencyclingclub.org.uk,
telling us what kind of cycling you’re looking for, and we’ll take it from there.

We look forward to hearing from you.
