Willesden 100 celebration audaxes

Willesden Cycling Club is 100 years old in 2026. The club that has bred champions and inspired thousands to ride is marking the occasion with a series of special long distance rides.

During the year, the club is offering Audax events of 200, 300, 400 and 600 km and you’re invited to come along for the ride.

And if you fancy completing the series, you’ll be in great company and eligible for the Super Randonneur award from Audax UK and receive a special commemorative medal and cap from The Willesden. With any of these rides you are eligible to get priority entry for the 2027 Paris Brest Paris 1,200km ride, the most prestigious event in world Audax.

The ride starts are timed so that you can get trains to the start from Central London.

The rides

The 200km Willy Warmer 24 January – find out more and enter – is a classic winter ride from the Chalfont St Peter, West of London, out into Berkshire. Wrap up warm to explore some of the best roads in the Home Counties on a route that has entertained hundreds of hardy souls over the years.

A brand new 300km Waltham Wander ride on 11 April from Waltham Abbey – find out more and enter – takes in the lanes of Essex, Suffolk, a bit of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

Two 400km rides are part of the series.

London Wales London* on 2 May and its simpler twin the Bare Bones on 23 May – find out more and enter– take riders from Chalfont, along country roads westwards to the edge of Wales and back on a route that has been perfected over many years.

The Last Gasp 600km event on 4 July – find out more and enter – is a weekend of exploring The Cotswolds, the Midlands, Lincolnshire, Cambridge and more, starting from Kings Cross. It sets off at 7am, so its start location means you can get there in time from much of the South East and beyond.

Each ride is organised individually under Audax UK regulations – enter one, two or the whole series – you’ll be welcome whether if you’re dipping your toe in for one or going for the full set.

Come and join us on the road in 2026.
